Route 20 in Worcester has reopened after being flooded on Monday morning, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).
The section of Route 20 that was flooded was by Route 122. The route was closed both east and westbound and detours were put in place, according to MassDOT.
At 11:21 a.m., MassDOT announced on the social media website X that all lanes were reopened.
Heavy rain and wind were forecast for Monday in Massachusetts. The state could see wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service. There is also the possibility of even stronger gusts, reaching up to 60 mph.
