San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones earned one of the escalators in his contract after helping the team win on Sunday Night against the Atlanta Falcons. Jones made $400,000 since that was his fourth win of the season.

Jones can continue to earn more incentives, so long as he remains on the field. Of course, the 49ers want Brock Purdy, their long-term investment, to play. But winning isn’t easy in the NFL. Jones has allowed Purdy to be patient with his toe injury and let that fully heal.

Jones will earn an extra $100,000 as long as he plays 25 percent of the snaps and the 49ers win. Additionally, Jones can make $550,000 if he winds up playing half of the snaps this season and the 49ers make the playoffs.
