NORTH CHARLESTON — A man was arrested for his alleged role in causing a four-vehicle collision Oct. 19 that sent a motorcyclist flying from his bike and into a roadway where an oncoming vehicle ran him over moments later, police say.

The 28-year-old male motorcyclist from Charleston was seriously injured and transported to a hospital, according to a statement North Charleston police posted on its CrimeWatch platform .

The injured man’s name has not been released.

Osvaldo Bravo Juarez, 40, of Berkeley County, was charged with felony driving under the influence , having an open container of beer in his vehicle and the traffic violation of following too closely, according to online inmate records.
