The host broadcasters erred in presenting Mitchell Starc's delivery to Rohit Sharma in the first over of the ODI between India and Australia at Perth on Sunday. The speed gun showed that Starc clocked a record 176.5 kmph ball, but upon correction, it was realised that it was of 140.8 kmph, which is well within the speedster's usual range.

Starc wrapped up the game with figures of 6-1-22-1, grabbing the prized dismissal of Virat Kohli for a duck as Australia emerged triumphant by seven wickets in the series opener.

Asked to bat first, India laboured to a sub-par 136 for 9, after the match was revised to 26 overs for a side courtesy several rain interruptions, leaving the hosts to chase a DLS target of 131, which they duly reached in 21.1 overs.
