Dua Lipa’s fiancé, Callum Turner, is detailing their “crazy” meet-cute.
The actor, 35, told the Sunday Times that he and the pop star met over drinks before a mutual friend’s birthday in Los Angeles, gushing that their connection was instantaneous.
“We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy,” the actor explained. “It’s called ‘Trust’ [by Hernán Díaz].”
Turner “had just finished the first chapter,” which he relayed to Lipa, 30.
“She looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter, too,'” he recalled, noting that he cheekily responded, “So we’re on the same page.”
Smiling, he admitted that in “the movie version” of the pivotal moment, he looks “up [to] the sky” and says, “I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry.”
