SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A Salt Lake City man is facing multiple charges related to child rape and sexual abuse after allegedly picking up two underage girls with a friend and taking them to an apartment outside the city, according to the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.

Ekyoci Kashembwe, 23, is charged with two counts of sodomy of a child (first-degree felony), two counts of rape of a child (first-degree felony), as well as multiple counts related to sexual abuse of a child.

On or about Jan. 20, 2025, Unified Police responded to a report of sexual abuse. A 14-year-old girl reported that she and her friend were picked up by "older men," later identified as Ekyoci Kashembwe and David Ndakola.
