Airdrie RCMP say charges have been laid against a man who hit a teenager in a crosswalk and drove away earlier this month.
Just after 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, police responded to reports of a hit-and-run involving a 17-year-old pedestrian.
The teen was injured in the incident.
Airdrie RCMP released a video of the incident, and reached out to the public for help in identifying the man. It says numerous tips were received, which was greatly appreciated.
On Sunday, Oct. 19, RCMP charged a 35-year-old Airdrie man with failure to remain at an accident scene. As the information hasn’t been sworn, he can’t be named,
The man is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 11.
