When Georgina Doll was looking to buy a home, generative artificial intelligence was one of the sources she turned to for advice.

"When I was choosing my home loan product, I would put in a few examples of different interest rates and I would get it to model the repayments," she said.

The 30-year-old from Brisbane said she used ChatGPT and found it helpful.

"It would almost prompt me to continue learning more and to almost get it to do more modelling for me or take me down different avenues."

Ms Doll said she knew it was not always "100 per cent accurate", and by using it for mathematical analysis, she felt safer leaning on its advice.
