'Miracle on 34th St': Newborn Baby Found Abandoned, But Alive, in Blanket at New York's Penn Station as Authorities Look for Parents

The NYPD is investigating the circumstances behind a newborn baby who was left alone and abandoned at Manhattan’s Penn Station during the morning rush hour on Monday, Oct. 20

The baby girl was found on the stairs leading to the southbound No. 1, 2 and 3 trains about 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital to be evaluated

New York City police are investigating the circumstances behind a newborn baby who was left alone and abandoned at Manhattan’s Penn Station during the morning rush hour.

The baby girl was found on the stairs leading to the southbound No. 1, 2 and 3 trains about 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20.

Police were called to the W. 34th Street and 7th Avenue station after an anonymous tip, per ABC7 .
