CLINTON, Mo. (KCTV) - Clinton police have arrested a man they say hit an officer with a car before crashing it into a lake.

On Oct. 19, the Clinton Police Department was dispatched to a gas station after a woman called saying she had been assaulted and wasn’t allowed to leave.

When officers arrived, they spoke to a suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Mikeal Antonio Farr, who was in his car and refused to get out. He then allegedly put the car into reverse, hitting one of the officers and throwing him onto the hood of his patrol car.

Officers began chasing Farr, but reportedly stopped when he crashed his car into Turman Lake and took off running into the lake. He was arrested soon after.

Farr is in Henry County custody on the following charges:
