Strictly Come Dancing fans issued a major demand to the BBC after Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell withdrew from the show.

The Neighbours legend , who played Paul Robinson on the series, and Australian professional dancer were known to their fans as ‘Team Aussie’.

Stefan and Dianne previously missed movie week due to the actor suffering from illness, but were given a bye through to week four.

Dancing the Charleston on Saturday night (October 18), the duo scored 26 out of a possible 40 for their routine, their highest of the competition so far.

Less than 24 hours after it emerged that Stefan and Dianne made it through to icons week, Stefan released a statement to confirm their Strictly journey was over.
