A bouncer at Rick's Cabaret in downtown Minneapolis is facing an assault charge after he allegedly shot and injured a man following a fight outside the club earlier this month.
Andrew Jordan Thompson, 30, of Minneapolis, is charged with one count of second-degree assault in connection with the incident.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a shooting near the intersection of 3rd Street South and Second Avenue South around 3:34 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5 and found a man with "potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds."
He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and remained hospitalized as of Friday.
According to the charge, a woman told police the victim "had exchanged words with the bouncer" as they were leaving Rick's Cabaret.
