AUBURN — Despite a down performance in Auburn football 's two-overtime loss to Missouri this past weekend, kicker Alex McPherson has the full support of his head coach moving forward.

McPherson's had a tumultuous year-plus, hardly seeing the field last season and eventually having his colon removed to combat an ongoing battle with ulcerative colitis.

An All-SEC specialist in 2023, McPherson's contributing this fall. He hadn't missed a field goal heading into Auburn 's game against Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 18. But McPherson's final line was, as Hugh Freeze described it, uncharacteristic, making one of four field goal attempts.
