Montgomery police are investigating a hit and run in which a pedestrian was killed.

At about 4:57 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, police went to the 4400 block of Troy Highway after a report of a collision involving a pedestrian, said Lt. Ernestina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. They found Ephriam Bristow, 67, of Montgomery who had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, she said.

The vehicle fled before officers arrived, McGriff said.

The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000 or MPD at 334-625-2831.
