LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - Lebanon Police have detained a suspect after he barricaded himself inside a home, prompting an hours-long standoff.

Just after 12:30 p.m., the Lebanon Police Department first reported the standoff at Crosswinds Condominiums along Leeville Pike, which is on the southwest end of the city.

“A wanted suspect has barricaded himself inside a home. Any residents in need of evacuation have already been evacuated,” Lebanon PD reported.

A spokesperson for the police department said that Byars Dowdy Elementary School, Winfree Bryant Middle School and child care services at The Journey Church were under a soft lockdown amid the police response.
