An alleged Islamic State fanatic sounded 'excited' when he was sent a video of guns and ammunition for a terror attack on Jewish communities across north Manchester, a jury has been told.

Tunisia-born former restaurateur Walid Saadaoui was unaware he was disclosing his plans to an undercover operative named Farouk, according to the prosecution, and he confided to the agent that he was 'full of vengeance' to carry out an attack.

When counter terror cops arrested him in May 2024, Mr Saadaoui tried to flee but officers found two assault rifles, a semi-automatic pistol and almost 200 rounds of ammunition in his car, the court has been told.
