ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — After weeks of renovation, the department of arts and culture re-opened the Alamosa Library on Monday. The improvements included new paint, carpet, and furniture.

The director of the library talked about what this means for the community. "A library is now a vital living room for the neighborhood," says Director of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County Public Libraries Kate Alderete. "It's the only place in our community where you can walk in and access free technology, world class resources, dedicated study space, and a knowledgeable staff, all under one roof."

The Alamosa Library is now open to the community.
