TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Twin Falls will begin shutting down and winterizing its pressurized irrigation system on October 20, according to a press release.

Once the process begins, subdivisions connected to the city’s pressurized irrigation network will no longer receive water until the system restarts in late April.

Homeowners can check when their neighborhood’s irrigation station has been turned off by visiting the Twin Falls Pressurized Irrigation Station Status page here .

The pressurized irrigation system works to conserve water from the Snake Plain Aquifer. The system uses water from existing canal networks through a partnership with the Twin Falls Canal Company.
