PERRY COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - It’s been more than a month since local law enforcement raided several smoke shops across the Pine Belt.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office has filed a court order to legally seize the N-Hale Smoke Shop in Beaumont, making it the county’s first shop to be shut down in the year-long investigation.

“We’ll go through the court process, and then if judge awards it to us, we’ll own it,” Perry County Sheriff Jacob Garner said. “The county will.”

The N-Hale smoke shop in Beaumont was one of two locations in Perry County raided on Sept. 11.

The shop was officially closed after Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed signed a seizure warrant last week.
