GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Thousands of people took to downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday for the ‘No Kings’ rally against President Donald Trump and his administration.
While it was peaceful for the most part, videos and photos on social media show at least two cars running into protestors.
Among them, the chair of the Palestine Solidarity Grand Rapids group, Emerson Wolfe.
“I was dragged by a vehicle about five to 10 feet. I don't have video of it, so I don't know officially, but there was a man who was attempting to swerve toward protesters,” they said. “And my job as a safety was to encourage cars to slow down and give the protesters lots of space. And by and large, you know, people in Grand Rapids were very supportive. Drivers gave people a lot of space.”
Wolfe was a “safety” tasked w
