GLASGOW, Ky. – Two people have been transported after a collision involving an Amish buggy in Glasgow.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded Monday evening for an injury collision on South Fork Road near Sugar Hill Road.

Upon arrival, deputies say it was determined a 2009 Nissan Maxima driven by 42-year-old Kasey Gupton of Glasgow struck an Amish buggy operated by a juvenile.

Two occupants of the buggy were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision, authorities say.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Haywood Fire Department, Barren County Emergency Management and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
