BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is helping provide rent and utilities help for those in need during the Christmas season.
The help will come through a program called A Season Of Hope. Donations for the program are being taken through Friday, December 19.
“For over a year, Catholic Charities hasn’t received funding for rental or utility assistance, which is our most requested service,” said Stephanie Sterling, the executive director for CCDBR. “At the same time, many families in need are struggling to make ends meet. We are hoping to fill that gap this Christmas season.”
A day of giving event will be held on Friday, November 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Catholic Charities office, which is located at 1900 S. Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge
