BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- People can start giving back for the holiday season of giving by donating money to the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge's Christmas program.
No gifts will be accepted this year since the organization is only accepting monetary donations as this year's focus will be on the A Season of Hope program, which will give families in need rent and utilities assistance.
“For over a year, Catholic Charities hasn’t received funding for rental or utility assistance, which is our most requested service,” CCDBR Executive Director Stephanie Sterling said. “At the same time, many families in need are struggling to make ends meet. We are hoping to fill that gap this Christmas season.”
