MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The fierce rivalry football game between Tolsia and Tug Valley will not be played under the Friday night lights this season.
Tug Valley athletic director Clyde Farley confirmed the game is being moved to Thursday night because they were unable to get officials for Friday. He said the move became official Sunday after weeks of trying to secure a crew of officials.
“We just have to get the game in,” Farley said.
He said this game had to be moved on their schedule earlier because of an open date, and that’s why officials weren’t secured sooner.
He also said part of the problem is a shortage of officials.
