TORONTO — For the 10th time, the American League Championship Series is going to a Game 7 . And the Seattle Mariners can only hope the result is historic.

The Mariners will aim for the first AL pennant and World Series trip in their history, as they try to bounce back from a 6-2 loss in Game 6 and cash in the second of two tries they had to advance.

But the Toronto Blue Jays , for the moment, have the momentum in a series where that concept has proven elusive. They will start trade-deadline prize Shane Bieber in hopes of advancing to their first World Series since winning consecutive titles in 1992-93.
