COLUMBUS, Mont. – A rail conductor employed by BNSF Railway was killed after being struck by a train in Columbus on Sunday morning.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. The conductor was between two different trains when one began moving, leading to the fatal accident.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Railroad Administration are leading the investigation into the incident. The conductor's name has not yet been released.
