SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Working to fight the flu, the Taney County Health Department is putting together vaccination clinics.
The clinical manager said that 2024 was one of the worst flu seasons they’ve ever seen. This season, they’re already seeing cases reported.
Officials are working to put together more flu clinics this season, but they also offer them by appointment or through walk-ins.
“It tends to peak around December, but we recommend all people six months and older to get those flu vaccines, especially those at high risk,” said Erica Craig, clinical manager at Taney County Health. “Those would be young children, those with chronic conditions, and those over 65.”
