MINNEAPOLIS — This week marks the beginning of Teen Driver Safety Week through the U.S. Department of Transportation.

To raise awareness of teen driving issues, the Minnesota State Patrol has unveiled two new simulators that will teach teenage drivers how to identify distractions before they cause a serious crash.

The simulators will soon be deployed at high schools and community events across the state so that young drivers can experience driving distractions in real time.

There are two simulations that young drivers can choose from, including a distracted driving course and an impaired driving experience.
