Three young adults allegedly broke into a Springfield school twice last week, according to Springfield Police.

The trio entered a Brattain Campus building at 425 10th St. via a roof hatch Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. Springfield police responded to a burglary in progress around 9:20 p.m. after reports of a break-in detected by the school's alarm system.

After establishing a perimeter around the school and searching the area, officers arrested three suspects who attempted to run away. They were apprehended on the premises and later cited with criminal trespass and mischief. The suspects were in custody at the Springfield Municipal Jail as of Oct. 20.
