COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) - A 5-year-old was hit and injured by a vehicle Monday evening, according to the Covington Police Department.

Captain Bradburry with the Covingont Police Department says a 5-year-old was hit by a vehicle on the 1800 block of Greenup Street after he ran into the street.

Bradburry says the 5-year-old was taken to Children’s Hospital, where his condition is listed as stable.

The driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperative with officers, Bradburry reports.

Speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor, and charges were filed while the investigation continues.
