LOS ANGELES -- "Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggidy dog!" Mickey Mouse surprised a group of kids over the weekend to encourage them to be healthy by playing sports.
L.A. County Parks, the "Disney Jr. Let's Play" campaign and ESPN's "Take Back Sports" initiative partnered together to host a community sports clinic at Cathedral High School near downtown Los Angeles. The event introduced preschoolers and kindergartners to T-Ball/baseball, soccer, flag football and basketball.
Mickey himself stopped by to kick things off with a warm-up of the iconic "Hot Dog!" dance to celebrate the new Disney+ series, "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+."
Approximately 75 pre-registered kids between the ages of three and seven were split into 15-minute rotations depending on their age.
