ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) - When Terrell Owens signed with the Bills 16 years ago, the reaction was mostly shock.

"I'm leaving America's team to come to North America's team," Owens said in a press conference after the signing.

Owens' one year in Buffalo was mostly forgettable, but that reaction to the news has lived on. Specifically, one reaction in particular.

"Buffalo Bills go undefeated, and we're going to the Super Bowl," Ryan Jones-Appleberry said into a News 8 camera.

Appleberry was a Greece Athena student at Blue Cross Arena for basketball sectionals the night Owens signed.

"I was just joking around with a bunch of my friends. We were all together, chilling," he said.
