MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is facing more charges after police said he broke into a Mesa house, beat up another man and then wouldn’t come out for hours during the weekend.
Brendon Williams was arrested on Saturday night. Investigators said the 36 year old went into the garage at the house near Stapley Drive and Brown Road sometime on Friday night and asked the homeowner’s husband for a lighter. That’s Williams he attacked the man and forced him inside, police said.
The victim later told officers Williams tied him up and poured water over his face so when police knocked at the door, he couldn’t yell for help. He was later taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers were called out to the house around 10:30 Saturday morning, where they confirmed Williams was still inside.
