WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A Wallingford man turned himself in to police on Oct. 13 after a months-long investigation into possession of child sex abuse material.

Police say the investigation began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the Wallingford Police Department in December of 2024.

The NCMES alerted Wallingford police that 48-year-old Roy C. Edwards had uploaded multiple images of child sexual abuse material to his Verizon Wireless account.

After an extensive investigation that was done alongside the FBI Task Force, Edwards’s home and electronic devices were searched.

Police say they found multiple videos and still images of CSAM.

Edwards was charged with possessing child pornography in the first degree. He was released after posting his $75,00
