LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Future Healers medical program is going global.
The program was started in 2021 by a group of University of Louisville Medical students who wanted to do more in the community to address the public health crisis affecting kids.
In response to rising gun violence in Louisville, the University of Louisville School of Medicine partnered with UofL Health Trauma Institute, the Department of Surgery, and Christopher 2X Game Changers to launch Future Healers.
UofL Professor of Surgery Dr. Keith Miller said the program is intended to equip kids with the tools to be safe and health.
