A Sydney woman has been charged with high-range drink driving after allegedly blowing a BAC of 0.359, more than seven times the legal limit.

Police and ambulances were called to a childcare centre on Gymea Bay Road in Gymea about 5.30pm yesterday following a concern for welfare report.

A 43-year-old woman declined medical assistance at the scene and was breath-tested by police.

She returned an alleged positive result and was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station, where police conducted a breath analysis.

The woman then allegedly returned a result of 0.359, which is over seven times the legal driving limit of 0.05. 

A blood-alcohol content of 0.4 is considered potentially fatal.

She was charged with high-range drink driving her licence was suspended.
