WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - KNOE presented its inaugural First Responder of the Year banquet and awards ceremony, honoring the bravery and dedication of our local heroes.

KNOE hosted the banquet at the West Monroe Convention Center on Oct. 20. More than 300 attendees joined in fellowship as first responders from across the ArkLaMiss were recognized for their outstanding service.

There were 18 award recipients announced during the banquet. Those recipients and their awards are as follows:

Community Partner of the Year - Deputy Roger Gibson

Correctional Officer of the Year - Sergeant Amber Bowlen

Deputy of the Year - Captain Chad Fuqua

Dispatcher of the Year - Deputy Kasey Whitton

EMT of the Year - Corey Anding

ER Doctor of the Year - Dr. Enaka Yembe

ER Nurse of the Year - Ginger Pier
