It was the right man up at the right time for the Blue Jays. Hard-nosed veteran George Springer came to the plate in the seventh inning of ALCS Game 7 with two men on and the Blue Jays trailing by two runs, and he launched a go-ahead homer off Mariners reliever Eduard Bazardo.

Seattle opted to bring on Bazardo to replace right-hander Bryan Woo, who had cruised through two clean relief innings but then allowed a walk and a single to lead off the seventh. Springer made the Mariners pay with yet another huge postseason moment in his illustrious career.

It's his 23rd playoff homer and he is now tied with Kyle Schwarber for third on the all-time list . Only Jose Altuve (27) and Manny Ramirez (29) have more.
