CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau City Council approved a 10 percent increase in water rates starting in November.
With the 5 percent for July, it will reach the cap of 15 percent in this increase.
Back on August 5, voters passed a measure allowing the increase to help fund the water treatment plant and distribution system improvements.
Also on Monday night, the council approved the meeting calendar for 2026.
