We finally know this is literally true: Donald Trump would not know who Kevin Rudd is if he was staring him in the face.
The viral moment from the meeting this morning is Trump living out the Great Australian Dream of telling Rudd that he doesn’t like him, and probably never will.
But there’s so much more from today which shows Rudd’s role as US Ambassador is untenable.
When my Sky News colleague Andrew Clennell asked Trump if he was upset at our US Ambassador’s past statements about him , he did so standing directly behind Rudd.
Rudd even physically bristled at the question, looking around the table in frustration at the question being asked.
