UNION GROVE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Arab City School system has released a statement after the death of an elementary school student over the weekend.
The Marshall County Coroner said an 8-year-old boy died at the hospital following an ATV accident on Sunday evening.
The school system said they are deeply saddened by the loss of the student, later identified as Cal Guess. Cal was a student at Arab Elementary.

Marshall County Coroner Cody Nugent said the single-vehicle accident happened on private property on Rescue Road in Union Grove.
The coroner said the child was thrown from the ATV and received serious injuries.
