LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln restaurant is losing business amid Amazon’s service outage on Monday.
Amazon Web Services is a cloud service provider for multiple apps around the world.
It’s connected to Snapchat, Venmo and Fortnite, among others.
Early Monday morning, AWS dealt with a major outage, knocking out service to millions of people around the world.
The outage caused disruptions to several universities and workplaces, including some in Lincoln.
Honest Abe’s at 70th and Vine streets uses a service called Toast to take online orders.
But that stopped working, so the restaurant could only accept orders over the phone or in person.
“It’s impacting everyone around in this area,” said Hannah Suggs, an employee there.
