LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Bodhi Imports is picking up the pieces after a car careened into their building on Friday .
It was a quiet Monday morning near 17th and Sumner streets, but just days ago, it was the exact opposite.
“All the sudden we hear this big crash and see an SUV propped up diagonally against the building,” said owner of Bodhi Imports, Beatrix Mather.
For Mather, the impact left more than just a broken wall — it left a weekend full of questions.
“We were just shocked, we didn’t know what happened, we were like, ‘How could a vehicle hit the building?'” She said.
The crash forced the store to close its doors temporarily as her staff cleaned up and assessed the damage.
On Monday, a building inspector took a closer look at the building, determining it was safe for the doors
