SALISBURY — Salisbury hadn’t won a football game since Aug. 29 when the Hornets managed to outscore North Rowan 40-36.
But the “Thunder Dance” returned to Ludwig Stadium on Friday’s Senior Night.
The Hornets won emphatically, taking control early and blasting South Rowan 42-7 for the Hornets’ first South Piedmont Conference victory of the season and the first SPC football triumph for the Hornets since 1992.
Salisbury QB Isaiah Foxx had a huge game, throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns and running 11 times for 100 yards and two more scores.
Foxx broke a 53-yard scoring run while fans were still finding their seats. It stayed 7-0 for quite a while, but Foxx hit Zay’Vien Heaggins for a 64-yard scoring pass for 14-0 midway through the second qua
