A WOMAN has avoided jail for ice supply in Tamworth but has failed in her bid to keep the cash, which was the proceeds of crime, to get her life back on track.
Lori Shawn Harris appeared supported by family in Tamworth Local Court for sentencing after admitting to supplying almost 17g of the drug ice, as well as possessing more of the drug and amphetamine.
Solicitor Peter Schmidt said she should be able to keep the $3900 in cash seized by police, despite his client's additional guilty plea to dealing with the proceeds of crime.
"She's a battler, having a go in life now," he said, adding the money would help her get back on track.
"Hopefully she's turned her life around."
