PHOENIX — The chair of the Republican Party of Arizona has officially thrown her hat into the ring for Arizona's 1st Congressional District.

Gina Swoboda announced her campaign on Oct. 20 with the "support and endorsement of President Trump," according to a news release.

"Over the last month, I have been overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of encouragement I have received from supporters across this district to run for this seat and keep it in Republican hands," Swoboda said in a news release posted on "X."
