A man helped abduct a woman, drove her around for two hours before threatening to cut her up with an electric saw and strangling her until she could not breathe.
Raymond Kevin Ziebell, 47, held the victim captive in a car as his co-offenders threatened to hurt her daughter and hit her with a metal base ball bat, leaving her with more than 40 injuries.
The victim told the court on Monday, October 20, that the attack had turned her life into "a corridor of fear and isolation" and that she rarely left her home.
A day later in the ACT Supreme Court , Justice Louise Taylor sentenced Ziebell to six-and-a-half-year jail term and a nearly four-year non-parole period.
