TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — One week after a microburst caused major damage around Tempe, city officials say nearly 600 damage assessments have been completed, with more hopefully on the way and 335 tons of debris from the storm has been cleared.

At Chaparral Village on Baseline Road, the signs of last week’s storm are still visible.

“A lot of neighbors here are still talking about it like it’s a trauma that they just experienced,” said Keila Vasquez.

Multiple mobile homes in the community were completely destroyed, and several others suffered damage. Seven days later, the water has rescinded and much of the debris has been cleaned up mainly by neighbors but a lot of damage remains.
