Rising Melbourne playmaker Jonah Pezet has caused a stir with an unusual contract plan which will see him agree to play with two clubs.

Pezet, 22, has triggered a clause in his contract which allows him to look at rival clubs for opportunities.

And it has now been revealed that he is set to join Parramatta for just one year in 2026 before moving to the Brisbane Broncos .

Pezet has used a “get-out” clause that was written into his contract with the Storm if halfback Jahrome Hughes re-signed with the Melbourne club.

It has now been reported that he will join Brisbane in 2027 and replace veteran half-back Adam Reynolds who has been tipped to retire.

Other clubs in the race for Pezet’s signature were North Queensland, Parramatta and Canberra.
