Lazarus is set to be a concoction of a mystery and a supernatural thriller with author Harlan Coben opening up on how his own life inspired the Prime Video drama.

After the death of his father Dr Jonathan Lazarus (played by Bill Nighy), forensic psychiatrist Joel Lazarus ( Sam Claflin ) starts seeing victims of cold case murders from more than 20 years ago.

Joel soon begins to delve into these unsolved murders as he discovers a link with not only his dad’s death but his sister’s murder when they were teenagers.

While the Prime Video drama has a supernatural flare, author Harlan Coben has expressed that it is the reality of losing a loved one which initially inspired Lazarus.
